Not that one, this one!

So I’ve decided it’s time…to express my opinion vocally!  I’ve started telling my mommy and daddy what I want and what I DO or DON’T want.  Lots of “fun” says mom.  I don’t know what she’s talking about I think it is.  :P

For example, if I don’t want to wear a certain pair of shoes, I’ll tell them “No.” They will then ask me if I want to wear my other pair (well duh I do), so I’ll tell them “Yes.”  I’m so glad they are finally listening to me. :)

I also want to be the one to control the radio in the car…what you are tired of GaGa?  Too bad, I’m not.  I’ll also want to hear certain songs again.  My mom will try to trick me and say it’s the same song.  I give up after awhile and just roll with it.  Haha.  (Mom’s note:  Aaron has been on a major Lady Gaga kick.  It’s all he wants to listen to in the car or on the stereo at home.  He just asks for it as soon as we get in the car, “GAGA!”)

I don’t always get my way, but I do like how I can at least state my opinion now with words instead of just crying.  Oh boy are my parents in for some fun times ahead.

Visiting Happy Hallow with Eve

This past weekend, Aunt Ashley, Uncle Kevin, and Eve came down to visit us.  I was so excited and talking about “Eve. Weekend” all week.  Before they came I kept seeing little blonde girls and could have sworn those were Eve.  They weren’t and Mommy kept telling me Eve was at her home.  So finally the day arrived for her to visit!  My parents thought it was perfect weather to get outside of the house (70 degrees in August!) so why not go to Happy Hallow!

I wasn’t digging the Carousel, but I did go on a ride by myself with Eve.  I wasn’t too sure at first, but towards the end I was having a great time!

Eve rode by herself the first time!

Ok hrmm this is kinda cool! Eve is excited so it must be fun!

Don't worry Aaron! You'll have fun!

You're right this is fun!So of course, the one picture my mom didn’t get is of me waving and smiling.  Trust her – I was!

We then went over to the jungle gym area.  I LOVED it!

I loved climbing!

And walking on rope!

So did Eve!

And the slide - my FAVORITE part!

I can’t wait to go back and play.  I also can’t wait to see Eve again! :)

Well hello. Long time no blog.

Ok, so I’m back. It’s official.  My mom has been a major slacker.  Life just got way busy for the three of us.  I have lots to catch up on with you all, but for now, here’s a picture of me.  I’m 19 months old already !  Wow time is flying and I’m having lots of fun hamming it up.

P.S. Please notice my shorter rockin’ hair do.  I got tired of the longer hair and after begging my mom and dad, they finally caved, haha :P

What’s new!

Here’s a few new things going on with me:

  • I’m really into Sesame Street and Nemo (Finding Nemo) right now and I will tell my parents when I want to watch it (“Street!” or “Nemo”).  I love to sit in my chair and watch Elmo and his friends with mom and dad.
  • I also like to go on walks without the stroller and get the mail.
  • I really want to help out around the house, so my parents gave me the job of helping them feed Sierra.  I get to carry her cup of catfood to her bowl.  I love being able to feed her.  As soon as I do, I call her to come and get it (“Seeee-A!”).
  • I still love to read.
  • I love to make stuff in my play kitchen.  I’ll even do sound effects when making a cake.  I will then take it (along with coffee I make) to my mom or dad to eat. Hehe!

Doctor Doctor!

So May 21st was a pretty big day for me.  I was born with my eyes crossed.  A lot of babies are, but usually this corrects itself.  My eyes decided to be stubborn and not uncross.  So for quite awhile I had my eyes patched and got to rock some pretty cool Harry Potter-esque glasses.

Yesterday was the big day.  I had surgery around 9:30 a.m. for my eyes.  My mom and dad were really nervous and were especially nervous that I was going to be a major butt, because yours truly couldn’t eat for 12 hours before surgery.  Yes you read that right – 12 hours (that’s a lot for a little guy).  I did fantastic though!  My mom and dad kept me distracted by playing with toys (especially my cars) and looking out windows.

I did so well during the surgery and my doctor was very happy with my results.  I however was NOT happy at all afterwards because I was still drowsy.  I wanted to walk so badly, but kept falling – UGGGH!  I took a long afternoon nap at home (after cuddling with mommy for awhile).  I felt so much more rested afterwards.

Here’s a picture of me today, May 22, actually.  You can see that my eyes are a little bloody in the corners, but otherwise they look great.  I can see a lot better too!

Oooh la la - don't my eyes look awesome!

Anybody want some popcorn?

So since I’ve learned to walk, I’ve discovered my corn popper!  This is me one of the first times I tried it a few weeks ago:

I’m getting better everytime I try :)

Beep! Beep!

So since I started walking, I got to go shoe shopping.  I loooove my “shuuues” as I call them.  The best part though of shoe shopping is getting a balloon!  My new BFF and I had a great time playing together.  I named him “boon.”

Here’s us pushing my car!

That’s one small step for Aaron…

Ladies and gentlemen!  It’s official!  I am walking!!!  For the past few weeks I’ve been taking a few steps here and there, but today was my first day actually walking around!

My dad picked me up from daycare and I decided to show him how cool I was by walking over to him.  Isabel (my awesome daycare provider) was so excited to tell my dad all about me walking that day.  They even got a video (which my mom needs to get).

A video will come soon (just having to wait for the *right* moment to show all of you my skills aka me being difficult for the camera).

It’s me in a box!

So I’ve found my favorite new thing to do!  My mom bought some storage boxes for my toys – or so she thought.  I much prefer to dump out all of my toys and sit in them.  I’ll even lean back like I’m in a recliner.  Hah.  Here’s a picture of yours truly enjoying my box!

Oh P.S.  please note the no socks.  I still LOOOOVE to take off my socks.  Socks are soooo overrated!
